Phyllanthus niruri:
It’s also known as gale of the wind or stone breaker. It may help to treat non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and atherosclerosis. Some studies have found Phyllanthus niruri decreases insulin resistance and reduced the amount of fatty acids in the liver.

Boerhavia diffusa:
It has been used for the chronic liver disease. The worldwide use of B. diffusa roots to treat liver disorders was validated when researchers demonstrated, in 1980 and 1991, that its root extract had antihepatotoxic properties.

Eclipta alba :
E. alba was reported to be the best drug for treating liver cirrhosis and infective hepatitis; wedelolactone, demethylwedelolactone and saponins are believed to be the active principles responsible for the use of these drugs in liver disorders.

Picrorhiza kurroa :
Hepatoprotective medicinal plants and their formulations have been traditionally used in Ayurveda for the prevention and treatment of diverse liver diseases. Picrorhiza kurroa has been commonly used and well investigated for the treatment of jaundice.

Tephrosia purpurea:
T. purpurea possess potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and free radical scavenging activity. Thus it is able to protect hepatic tissue from free radicals and prevent inflammation and necrosis of the hepatic cells.

Solanum nigrum :
S. nigrum has hepatoprotective effects. It can protect the integrity of hepatocytes and thus reduce the release chemical, which contributes to improved liver detoxification.

Emblica officinalis :
Emblica officinalis, commonly known as Indian gooseberry is one of the most important medicinal and dietary plants. Researches indicate that It it may be effective as natural therapeutics in hyperlipidemia and liver disorders

Swertia chirata:
Swertia chirata extract is widely used for the treatment of hepatitis, inflammation, and digestive diseases. 

Cichorium intybus :
Its various plant parts have beneficial role in treating liver diseases, enlargement of spleen, as bitter tonic effective in jaundice, liver enlargement.

Rheum emodi :
R. emodi protects liver damage . The hepatoprotective action may be mediated through inhibition of hepatic enzyme and presence of certain anti-oxidants.

Tinospora cordifolia :
Results of scientific study revealed that T. cordifolia extract could afford protection against lead-induced hepatic damage.

Momordica charantia :
it has been used as a folk remedy for a variety of ailments including liver disorders. Scientific study indicates that it has protective effect against liver injury.

Fumaria indica :
Fumaria indica is used in many disorders including, liver complaints, vomiting, and in combination with black pepper for jaundice.

Solanum xanthocarpum :
Scientific study indicatesthe protective effect of Solanum xanthocarpum extract against acute liver injury which may be attributed to its hepatoprotective activity, and there by scientifically support its traditional use.

Curcuma longa :
Recent studies have reported that curcumin effectively inhibits liver cirrhosis through its action on many pathways. Thus, curcumin has potential as a therapy for liver diseases.
